- Assisting in daily trading activities, including reporting trades and reconciling daily P&L statements published by the Middle Office.
- Conducting in-depth fundamental market analysis for Natural Gas, Electricity, and CO2, and developing/maintaining Supply & Demand (S&D) models.
- Leading and managing projects to streamline trading desk operations through automation and the development of new analytical tools.
- Building and maintaining robust databases based on various sources, ensuring data integrity for comprehensive analysis.
- Assisting traders in developing and maintaining advanced trading models for natural gas, electricity, and CO2 under senior guidance.
- Collaborating with various internal teams (e.g., Risk Management, Industrials, Compliance, Legal, Research) on short-term and long-term energy-related projects.
- For suitable candidates, and following a comprehensive training period and under senior supervision, contributing to generating trade ideas through detailed analysis and potentially executing trades on exchange/OTC platforms.
- University degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
- 1-5 years of professional experience as an Analyst, ideally with exposure to EU Natural Gas, Power, or CO2 markets, or demonstrable good experience in energy trading.
- Proven ability to set up, manage, and work with large databases and datasets.
- Experience with financial assets and developing hedging strategies; related work experience in energy markets is preferred but not strictly required.
- Strong programming skills: VBA is required; Python and/or R are a significant plus.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
- A proactive team player with strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
