We look forward to receiving your application.PartnerRe is an equal opportunities employer.Please join our company for all updates on new positions that are coming live.About the role:The position is reporting to the Head of D/A/CH, one of four regions in our P&C EMEA division.Your mission is to market and underwrite profitable P&C Treaty business for predominantly Property Risk & Cat and for Regional Casualty and Motor and to manage the relationship with the P&C clients in the region.This includes

acquiring and renewing profitable business in the DACH region within PartnerRe's risk appetite
underwriting the client and the business incl. pricing in coordination with actuaries and documenting decisions accordingly
marketing PartnerRe in the region towards clients and brokers
participating in client visits, conferences, internal workshops and client seminars
consulting with and providing solutions for our clients
defining strategy and actions on a client and portfolio level
interacting with other business units and with other functional areas like Cat Modelling/Research, Pricing, Accounting, Claims, Wording and Operations
managing administrative tasks such as reviewing contractual documents and endorsements, data input, maintaining data quality of portfolio etc.
providing market information to our internal peers and preparing management reports

About you:You ensure PartnerRe's best position with its clients in the region. As a resourceful discussion partner you take time to listen to their needs and challenges and articulate the value of PartnerRe as a long-term risk partner. Your in-depth understanding of our clients' business, strategy, underwriting approach, and the related exposures allows you to develop reinsurance solutions and structures that serve their needs.Specific prerequisites for the role include:

a minimum of 10 years of experience in reinsurance underwriting, client management or pricing
experience and contacts in the DACH region a plus
thorough understanding of Property Risk and Cat underwriting, modelling and pricing
experience in Casualty/Motor a plus
true team-player with strong social skills
excellent negotiation skills
readiness to travel frequently and show initiative and independent thinking
Fluent in German is required, fluent in English
advanced skills in MS Office, namely in Excel
