This is an opportunity to showcase your technical expertise while driving business development in a dynamic, rewarding environment where your contributions directly impact our success.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and underwrite complex property risks for large and medium-sized corporate clients in the Swiss marketDevelop and execute strategic initiatives to expand our property portfolio and market presenceBuild and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients to drive new business opportunitiesAnalyze risk exposures and create tailored insurance solutions that meet client needs while ensuring profitabilityNegotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients to secure optimal outcomesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design comprehensive insurance programsIdentify cross-selling opportunities across different lines of businessMonitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisionsMentor junior team members and contribute to the team's overall successDrive innovation in product development and underwriting approachesAbout the TeamYou'll be joining the Property Switzerland team of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions responsible for the direct commercial property business originating in Switzerland. The team focuses on delivering tailored insurance solutions to corporate clients while driving portfolio growth and maintaining strong market relationships.About YouYou're a high-performing underwriter with strong technical skills and a proven track record of building profitable portfolios. Your entrepreneurial mindset and commercial acumen allow you to spot opportunities and convert them into business success. You're not afraid to challenge the status quo and bring fresh perspectives to drive innovation and growth.We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial property underwriting, with a focus on medium to large corporate clientsNative/fluent in both German and English (written and verbal)Proven track record of successful business development and portfolio growthStrong technical underwriting skills with the ability to analyze complex risksEstablished network with brokers and clients in the Swiss insurance marketSwiss market knowledge and understanding of local business practicesExperience with international property insurance programs and captive placementsThese are additional nice to haves:Additional language skills (French)Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or related fieldAdvanced degree or professional insurance qualificationsFor Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 136,000 and 204,000 CHF (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
