JOB DETAILSPosition Job Title: Finance & IT ManagerBG and BU: AFEMEA - Coffee, Petcare and SpecialtiesLocation: On site, Burgdorf (Switzerland)Line Manager's Job Title: General ManagerContract Type: PermanentJOB PURPOSEThe role exits to manage all aspects of financial control, reporting and analysis for the site P&L & Balance Sheet. This requires a full understanding of all aspects of the business and the issues affecting it, and participation as a key member of the site management team. Timely and accurate reporting, analysis and forecasting must be provided for local and Business Unit management. In addition, the person will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines, supervising the implementation and maintenance of the company's computing needs.JOB DIMENSIONS & SCOPEThe role is responsible for all financial control at the Burgdorf site. It has responsibility for 3 direct reports within the Finance and IT Function.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESFinanceTo participate fully in the successful management of the site as a member of the management team.To ensure that all transactions entered into by the business are completely and accurately accounted for, recorded and reported.To report to local and BU management both standard and supplementary reports, and any other information required to understand the performance of the business.To provide the necessary additional reporting to satisfy year-end / statutory reporting requirements.To ensure that adequate controls exist in the business to ensure that the assets are safeguarded and the business does not incur liabilities without proper approval.To ensure that the ledgers maintained for the business unit accurately reflect the transactions entered into.To work closely with the Site HR Manager taking joint responsibility for the local payroll(s) and ensure that adequate controls are exercised in this area.To ensure that stocks are safely stored and are accurately valued and controlled, including regular physical verification and ensuring accurate costings are maintainedTo ensure that all site; business sector and Amcor Group finance policies are complied with.To co-ordinate the production of plans for the business (including annual budgeting, forecasts and similar projects).To provide whatever ad hoc reports that may be requested by local BU management in order to assist in understanding business issues.To coordinate the preparation of Site capital expenditure proposalsAnalysis of Quarterly PMDB (customer margin database) to ensure trends are understood and actions can be put in place to mitigate any negative margin trendsITManage information technology and computer systemsPlan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operationsManage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performanceDesign, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and proceduresEnsure security of data, network access and backup systemsAct in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policyIdentify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in timeAudit systems and assess their outcomesPreserve assets, information security and control structuresHandle annual budget and ensure cost effectivenessThe above list is not exhaustive but represents the main responsibilities expected of the role holder. It should be noted that as well as the management aspects there is a significant amount of hands on work in producing financial results and other outputs. In addition to the above the role holder will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks requested by management.MAJOR CHALLENGES & COMPLEXITIESThe site operates in a complex environment, due to the external changes in the market, that drives to volume forecast uncertainty.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSFormal Qualifications and ExperienceHolder of a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).Swiss Finance Legislation KnowledgeSwiss Accounting PrinciplesProven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experienceExcellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systemsExpertise in data centre management and data governanceSpecific Skills and AbilitiesExperience of working in a SAP environmentMinimum of 3 years manufacturing experienceAbility to interact in a cross-cultural environmentAbility to function within a matrix organizationDemonstrable business & commercial acumenStrong IT skills.
