As a Tool Store Specialist you will report to the Head of New Engines Operations, and will be responsible for the efficient and organized management of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for maintenance and repair operations on PW1100G-JM and LEAP engines. The role will involve various responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the tool store and support the overall operations of the MRO company, such as but not limited to: maintaining accurate inventory, issuing and tracking tools, managing the calibration processes, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, collaborating with various departments to meet operational needs, and controlling costs. You will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and compliance of aviation MRO activities by overseeing the tool-related aspects of the maintenance process.Your tasks
- Guarantee quality of work performed in accordance with all applicable SR Technics, Airworthiness Authorities and OEM rules and regulations always
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of tools, equipment, and materials. Monitor stock levels, track tool usage, and conduct regular audits
- Oversee the issuance of tools to maintenance personnel, ensuring proper documentation
- Schedule and track the calibration of tools to meet regulatory and quality standards, in collaboration with the Tools & Equipment Engineering. Ensure that all tools are properly maintained and calibrated as required
- Implement and enforce safety protocols related to tool handling and storage.
- Apply 5S, LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies to achieve all targets and improve processes in respect to productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety standards, and costs reduction/optimization
- Completed technical vocational training, preferably specialized in metal (aviation or machine mechanics, polymechanic, or equivalent)
- More than 5 years of Aviation MRO / Production experience, ideally in Engine MRO tool management, post completion of education / vocational training
- Sound knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements relate to tools and equipment
- Proven track record in Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma / Cl application)
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Proficiency in English (C1), ideally in German as well (B2)
