Reporting to the Team Lead - Transport Operations, you will maintain and improve transport/logistics processes to optimize product and material deliveries.Your responsibilities
Organization and monitoring of worldwide transport activities (air, sea, courier/export, import, cross trade, domestic)
Dispatch and coordination of temporary deliveries with Carnet ATA, such as tool deliveries to site
Obtaining, issuance (SAP/GTS), validation and certification of commercial documents for transport, customs clearance, and payment release (letters of credit)
Adherence to international trade compliance rules and requirements, such as preferential and non-preferential origin of goods, export controls, Incoterms
Issuing of commercial invoices and credit notes
Regular contact with customers, suppliers and forwarders, banks, chambers of commerce, customs and tax authorities
Obtaining and evaluating of transport offers and nomination of forwarders
Ensuring of PO compliance, placing of purchase requisitions as well as reviewing, accounting & releasing supplier invoices for T+L services
Your background
Completed commercial apprenticeship and ideally further training as a foreign trade specialist (Aussenhandelsfachperson) resp. export specialist
Ideally minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role working in international transport and trade
Sound knowledge of customs procedures, trade compliance, preferential and non-preferential origin and VAT regulations
Knowledge of SAP and GTS is an advantage
A proactive, solution-focused and reliable team player with strong written and spoken communication skills
Fluency in German and English
