You will work cross-functionally and support the transition from development to industrialization of the product to deliver innovative, affordable, sustainable, and functional food solutions.A Day in the Life of an R&D Specialist for Enzyme Technology
- Embrace innovation as a catalyst for change: Lead science-driven and business-relevant development projects of Enzyme Technologies for new food products across all Nestlé categories. Develop expertise in the Enzyme technology field and provide technical and scientific support across relevant R&D projects
- Make a meaningful impact on our world: Present new results and methods to internal stakeholders from both scientific and business audience to ensure alignment and business support, and support the transition from development to industrialization of the products to deliver innovative food solutions
- Foster a culture of creativity and growth: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and experts from Nestlé Research and relevant R&D centers to ensure the success of the projects. Engage with diverse experts and thought leaders to inspire fresh thinking and drive entrepreneurial initiatives while coaching and guiding technicians, students, and apprentices.
- Stay at the forefront of science: Monitor relevant external technologies in both academia and industry, build and document knowledge about the latest methods, trends, developments and patenting opportunities in your field of expertise
- Ph.D. in Enzyme Technology, Food Biotechnology or another related field, with R&D experience in the field of Enzyme Technology or Food Science with enzyme application
- Innovation at Heart: Experience in enzyme engineering and protein structure-function relationship modelling & prediction. Experience in precision fermentation (recombinant expression and purification of proteins) is a plus. Proven track record in driving innovative projects that challenge the status quo and contribute to breakthrough solutions.
- People at Core: Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams, fostering an environment that encourages fresh thinking and values contributions. Excellent communication skills in English (written/spoken)
