Python Developer - PySpark, SQL - this is a long term opportunity for a Software Engineer for a Swiss based client in the financial services sector.Your tasks:
Writing code in Python and SQL, with PySpark on Azure Databricks
Building solutions against delta lakes and relational databases
Performing analysis, design, implementation, and testing with a focus on automated testing
Extending the functionality of the consistency check engine for sub-ledger data
Optimizing performance for large data volumes with datasets containing tens of billions of rows
Your experience/knowledge:
Experience developing complex software systems as a Software Engineer
Significant experience with relational data models and SQL
Hands-on experience with Spark
Language skills: Highly proficient in English (written and verbal)
Your soft skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complexity into manageable tasks
Good work ethic and self-starter mentality
