Located in a major life sciences hub, it plays a central role in advancing knowledge in medicine, biology, and pharmaceutical sciences, often working closely with hospitals, industry leaders, and international research networks.The institution is known for its interdisciplinary approach, combining clinical practice with cutting-edge scientific research to improve patient outcomes.Senior Oracle Database Administrator - 6930For our clients IT department, we are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator on a permanent basis to join the team. This is a Permanent role and we are looking for candidates who are fluent in both English and German languages.Main Responsibilities:
  • Operation, maintenance, and further development of the Oracle database landscape (RAC, ASM, Data Guard)
  • Monitoring and control of systems using monitoring, alerting, and capacity management (OEM)
  • Analysis and resolution of incidents as well as performance optimization (AWR, SQL tuning, root cause analysis)
  • Shared responsibility for the operation of other database systems (MS SQL, MariaDB)
  • Further development and automation of operational processes as well as active participation in technological development
Your qualifications:
  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
  • Completed computer science training or comparable experience with several years of experience as an Oracle DBA
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle (RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, OEM) as well as solid experience with Linux and Windows
  • Good knowledge of MS SQL Server as well as an interest in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Shell)
  • Experience in agile setups (ideally SAFe) and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent German and English skills, as well as willingness to work outside of regular business hours
