Head Non-Life Underwriting (all gender) Active Reinsurance, Full-Time or Part-Time

• You will develop the department's vision and strategy in accordance with Active Reinsurance's objectives and ensure its execution alongside your team.
• You will be responsible for overseeing all Active Reinsurance Non-Life Underwriting activities, with the aim of achieving financial targets outlined in the budget, target card, and strategic plan.
• You will formulate market and portfolio management plans that prioritize underlying portfolio profitability.
• You will provide underwriting training and mentorship to less experienced colleagues on market conditions, competitor analysis, and relationship management.
• You will establish and document underwriting standards for all Non-Life lines in compliance with Group directives and regulatory requirements, implement referral processes, and conduct regular underwriting reviews.
• You will lead by setting visions and goals, communicating them effectively so that your team can understand and contribute to their achievement.

• Proven track record of extensive global reinsurance experience with markets, product, and economic insight.
• Solid knowledge in underwriting complex reinsurance treaties, versed in treaty wordings, pricing, rating, modeling, and valuation tools.
• An advanced level of education is necessary, with a comprehensive knowledge of insurance figures and statistical analysis.
• Demonstrated initiative in business development, customer service, planning, results orientation, teamwork, adaptability, and project management.
• Experiences in building teams with a strong identity that can use their varied skills and perspectives to reach challenging goals.
• Proficient in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
