Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.The Integrity Investigations Regional Lead for Europe will be a part of the global ABB Integrity Investigations and Monitoring (“IIM") team and work in a coordinated effort with the ABB Integrity and Regulatory Affairs organization and Legal & Integrity organizations, as well as other partners and stakeholders. The location of the role is flexible within Europe.Your responsibilities
  • Overseeing all investigations of alleged Code of Conduct violations conducted by Europe region investigators
  • Conducting investigations directly from time-to-time
  • Managing external legal counsel and/or forensic firms providing investigative or investigative support services
  • Providing subject matter consultation and/or training to investigators in the business; and otherwise supporting the global IIM program as requested
  • Thorough root cause analysis, leading to the recommendation of process controls and other improvements
  • Report investigative findings to the relevant management and / or committees to determine appropriate level of discipline and corrective actions in conformity with local labor law
  • Preparing case summaries (maintaining appropriate confidentiality) of lessons learned from investigative matters; and regularly monitoring and analyzing the case portfolio to generate insights delivered to business leadership intended to mitigate future risk
Your background
  • University degree required; preferably a qualified lawyer
  • 10 + years of experience in handling ethics and integrity investigations (inclusive of FCPA/UKBA, trade sanctions, antitrust, conflicts of interest/self dealing, accounting misrepresentations, and other fraud matters) either in a multinational corporation, or a reputed legal firm and/or consulting firm
  • Proven people management experience
  • Experience working in a case management system for internal investigations
  • Well honed knowledge of eDiscovery processes and tools.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced, global and multicultural environment
  • Team player, interested in initiating working relationships and collaborating across functions, geographies, businesses, and in providing mentorship, support and development for their direct reports
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive matters with the highest levels of discretion
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English. Additional language skills are a plus
