Business Analyst - Banking, Data Modelling, SQL - this is a 2+ years contract vacancy for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.Your tasks:

Collaborate with business areas such as Risk, Finance, Front, Middle, and Back Office to understand their data needs and requirements.
Define requirements for data products, including table schemas, in partnership with business stakeholders.
Design data models that support efficient data retrieval and meet business objectives.
Assist in producing data workloads, reports, queries, spreadsheets, and dashboards within a modern data lakehouse environment.
Develop and execute test plans to validate data accuracy and completeness.
Write and optimise SQL queries to support workload creation and validation.

Your experience/knowledge:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on data-related projects within financial services or a similar industry
Strong expertise in banking business areas such as Middle Office, Risk, and Finance, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimising complex queries
Solid experience in data modelling, including table schema and data structure design
Familiarity with data platforms and modern data architecture
Language skills: English
