Operating within the Service & Enterprise Solutions organization, the Senior Consultant works directly at client sites, spending significant time on-site to understand business needs, gather requirements, design solutions, and oversee implementations. This role combines deep functional expertise with strong technical capabilities, enabling the Senior Consultant to deliver 360-degree value across the entire solution lifecycle.The Senior Consultant is valued for their ability to understand both how the business works and how the technology works, translating between these domains to implement solutions that deliver real client value.What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)Work on-site at client locations to understand business operations, processes, and challengesGather and document functional and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysisDesign end-to-end solutions that address business needs while leveraging appropriate technology capabilitiesLead implementation activities, configuring systems, developing integrations, and ensuring solutions work as intendedAct as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements and ensuring mutual understandingProvide expert guidance on functional best practices, industry standards, and optimal solution approachesConfigure and customize platforms to meet specific client business processes and workflowsConduct user acceptance testing, training, and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoptionTroubleshoot issues that span business process and technical implementationDocument solution designs, configurations, and implementation decisionsDeliver 360-degree value across the entire engagement lifecycle from requirements through go-live and supportWhat We Look for In You (Required Qualifications)7–10 years of experience as a functional consultant, solution consultant, or implementation consultantDeep expertise in financial services business processes (custody, payments, treasury, banking operations, or capital markets)Strong technical capabilities: ability to configure systems, understand APIs, work with databases, and troubleshoot technical issuesProven experience implementing enterprise software solutions in financial services environmentsAbility to gather and document detailed functional and technical requirementsComfortable working on-site at client locations with significant travel (3+ days per week)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across business and technical domainsExcellent communication skills: ability to engage with both business users and technical teamsSelf-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and geographies, demonstrating high-quality and high-touch customer engagement throughout all phases of deliveryUnderstanding of regulated financial services environments and compliance requirementsLanguages: German and English required for Zurich; French and English for Geneva; Italian for Lugano. flexibility based on client assignmentLocation: Switzerland (Zurich, Geneva, or Lugano based on client needs)Nice To Haves (Preferred Qualifications)Experience with blockchain, digital asset, or cryptocurrency platformsKnowledge of core banking platforms (Avaloq, Temenos, Sopra) or financial systemsTechnical skills in Python, SQL, APIs, or system integrationBackground in consulting, system integration, or professional servicesExperience with custody operations, payment systems, or treasury managementCertifications in relevant platforms or methodologies
