Job Description:Intern Underwriting Specialty (80 – 100%)Zurich, Switzerland- Temporary for 10 monthThe way in which we approach specialty risks is unique in our industry. We offer a highly engaged working environment in which a proactive approach and expertise are highly valued, and teamwork is greatly encouraged.What you’ll be doingWhat will your essential responsibilities include?You will be trained to support the team on the following tasks:
  • Advising distribution partners and customers on insurance solutions and risk management related to Fine Art and Specie
  • Reviewing customer submissions, editing policy wordings, calculating appropriate risk premium and drawing up insurance solutions tailored to customers’ needs
  • Conducting risk visits together with brokers and AXA CH agents across Switzerland, identifying, analysing, and evaluating site-specific risks
  • Collaborating across departments such as Underwriting, Claims, Finance and other internal teams
  • Delivering input on internal strategic projects and reporting
You will report to the Underwriting Manager Fine Art, Private Clients and Specie.What you’ll bringWe are looking for an Underwriting intern based in our Zurich office. You will be provided with autonomy, empowerment, training and guidance where needed and appropriate to your level of experience:
  • Professional experience as career entrant with limited professional experience in the art or insurance industry
  • University degree or an apprenticeship in the fields of insurance, economics, or art history
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, efficient and able to work independently by structuring the path forward
  • Well-spoken and a communicative, confident, and discrete manner towards customers and business partners
  • Motivated and solution-oriented personality
  • Proficient in standard MS Office tools
  • Fluency in both German and English
