With 300 colleagues, our Zurich site servs as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for locomotives, bogies, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as services for the local and global markets. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You'll report to Fulvio Varetti, RAMS Manager and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.We'll look for you to:
Lead and coordinate RAMS activities across the assigned railway project, ensuring all deliverables are completed in line with quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments
Define and validate safety and reliability requirements to ensure compliance with Alstom's safety policies and to support product performance targets
Assess and demonstrate the safety level of products throughout project phases, ensuring alignment with applicable safety standards and internal guidelines
Monitor and evaluate RAM performance during project execution, identifying and implementing actions to mitigate risks and improve system reliability
Interface with internal and external stakeholders (including customers, Independent Safety Assessors, Notified Bodies, and Designated Bodies) to ensure all RAMS-related issues are addressed and resolved
Apply Alstom's engineering processes and RAMS methodologies with a product-oriented mindset, promoting knowledge capitalization and continuous improvement

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering, preferably with applications in railway systems or other safety-critical environments
2-3 years of experience in RAMS engineering, including safety analysis, reliability prediction, and performance measurement using industry-standard methodologies and tools
Familiarity with safety demonstration techniques and RAMS methods such as FMECA, FMEA, FTA, and MTBF/MTTR analysis; experience with tools like ReliaSoft or Isograph is considered an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence in participating in technical meetings and cross-functional collaboration
Structured, organized, and proactive, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and task execution
Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in German is considered an advantage
