For the Finance & Tax stream, we are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance & Tax Consultant to support ongoing deployment activities.This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality delivery across international rollouts, with a strong focus on tax processes, compliance, and integration within complex system landscapes.Framework conditions:
- Duration: asap – 12 months
- Contract Type: Freelance: Do you have your own registerd company that enables you to invoice us the worked hours based on the hourly all-in-rate as a freelancer (mandatory for this role) – or
- Contract basel CH-Payroll
- Location: Switzerland (fully remote)
- Eligibility: EU-based candidates only
- Language: Fluent English (mandatory), German is a plus
- Support the Finance Deployment Stream within the S/4HANA program as a Finance/Tax process specialist
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Finance and Tax processes across all project phases
- Drive and support deployment activities throughout the full rollout lifecycle (fit-gap, design, build, test, go-live, hypercare)
- Ensure alignment and coordination across parallel rollouts and workstreams
- Analyze, optimize, and safeguard business processes with a focus on efficiency and compliance
- Lead process alignment and solution design workshops with business stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to global template standards and governance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Tax, IT, Business) to ensure end-to-end integration
- Support the implementation and optimization of tax-related processes, including determination, reporting, and compliance
- Contribute to digital compliance initiatives such as e-invoicing and statutory reporting
- 8+ years of SAP FI consulting experience with a strong focus on Tax
- Proven track record in SAP ERP and S/4HANA transformation programs across the full lifecycle
- Deep expertise in SAP Tax for EU and global regions, including Indirect Taxes, Withholding Taxes, Corporate Income Taxes, SAP DRC, and country-specific localizations
- Strong knowledge of EU VAT directives, e-invoicing and reporting compliance
- Hands-on experience with tax engines or external tax determination solutions (e.g., Vertex, Thomson Reuters or similar)
- Proven experience in international, multi-country S/4HANA rollouts (ideally across multiple jurisdictions)
- Strong understanding of e-invoicing, e-reporting, and digital tax compliance frameworks in global environments
- Experience acting as Lead Consultant or senior SME in complex, international transformation programs
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end Finance & Controlling processes and tax-relevant integration points (FI, SD, MM)
