Job title - Cosmetics Senior Scientist, Bath & Shower (79929)Location – Satigny, Geneva, SwitzerlandKey Responsibilities:In collaboration with the Category Technical Director and the Category Leader, the candidate will have the following tasks:
  • In the scope of Technical Brand Servicing, test perfumery raw materials and final fragrances in shower gel products for stability, long-lasting and blooming performance and apply the learnings to guide Perfumers and Fragrance Development Managers to optimize their fragrances.
  • In collaboration with our Research Department, develop new technologies for shower gel products, in particular pro-fragrances, malodor reducing and cooling ingredients and AI supported performance models.
  • Study the composition of shower gel products and their influence on performance of fragrance / technologies. Follow the latest market trends of shower products and update our internal shower products for our fragrance evaluation, including development of innovative shower formats for client demos.
  • Analytically measure fragrance long-lasting and bloom with existing methods and develop new methods according to the technologies tested.
  • Leading a team of laboratory technicians.
  • Independently managing and driving technical development projects.

You Bring:
  • University degree in Chemistry with min. 5-10 years of professional experience in the field of technical Perfumery, perfume technologies or Body Care.
  • Good knowledge of analytical chemistry, in particular GC-MS & LC-MS.
  • Proven record in formulating cosmetic products.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills are required.
  • Proven record in supervising laboratory technicians and managing development projects.
  • Team spirit, creative thinking, independence, open mind, initiative and good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken.
  • Computer literate (MS Office).
