- Prepare and distribute a monthly schedule for maintenance technicians, clearly indicating site assignments
- Share schedules with the Head of Security & Maintenance to ensure full visibility
- Participate in daily coordination meetings to align operational priorities
- Hold regular on-site meetings with the maintenance team
- Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and monitor progress
- Keep the Head of Maintenance fully informed of all ongoing work, challenges, and developments, including minor issues and details
- Inspire and support the maintenance team through training, knowledge sharing, and continuous development
- Develop and document maintenance procedures
- Supervise external contractors working on site to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
- Monitor service execution to guarantee efficiency and reliability
- Maintain strong floor presence during daily operations and special events
- Provide technical guidance in maintaining and repairing campus equipment and infrastructure
- Schedule and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Ensure proper functioning of access control systems, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, safety signage, and other safety installations
- Manage purchase orders (POs) and product reception for maintenance materials and services
- Maintain an up to date daily operations file tracking all ongoing, planned, and completed tasks
- Ensure documentation remains accessible to management
- Maintain inventories and lifecycle planning for equipment and infrastructure
- Oversee budgets, timelines, and technical specifications to ensure cost-effective outcomes
- Support the Head of Maintenance in emergency evaluations and resource allocation
- Coordinate insurance claims with security and operations
- Prepare regular reports for management
- Identify improvement opportunities and propose operational enhancements
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during extraordinary events
- Technical qualification in building maintenance, electrical, mechanical systems or related field (CFC or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance operations, preferably in hospitality, education, or multi-site environments
- Previous experience supervising a team or coordinating contractors is strongly preferred
- Good understanding of Swiss safety standards and building regulations
- Solid knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, access control, fire safety, emergency systems)
- Ability to plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Budget awareness and cost-control mindset
- Comfortable using maintenance tracking tools and basic administrative systems (PO management, reporting, Excel)
- Strong organizational, planning, communication and reporting skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Team-oriented leadership skills with the ability to give clear instructions and follow up on execution
- Fluent written and spoken English and French, other languages a plus
- Type of contract: undefined period of time contract
