Ultimately, by delivering our smoke-free and beyond nicotine futureYour ‘day to day’As a Senior Scientist, you will develop new product concepts, oversee the study and research of the chemical properties and structures of different synthetic, natural, or composite materials, as well as be responsible for experiments, test and validation of the proposed idea.More specifically, you'll
  • Lead scientific research and testing to develop and validate new products, processes, and raw materials, within a defined scope.
  • Support setting goals, plans and budgets for their sub-function. Lead mid- to large projects that extend beyond direct scope of work.
  • Provide guidance and share expertise with junior colleagues, recommending tasks within their area of specialization.
  • Coordinate multi-functional teams​.
Who we’re looking for
  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in powder formulation, in food supplement, consumer goods or pharmaceutical industry related to oral areas. Ability to explain and transfer it to other teams.
  • Deep knowledge of scientific research methodologies and testing techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Smoke-Free Products portfolio and broader PMI business understanding.
  • Ability to work with external partners and colleagues from various sub-functions to find solutions to shared problems.
  • Sound expertise in improving processes, systems, or products.
  • Strong understanding of functional processes and the ability to make independent decisions while providing data-driven input for decisions made elsewhere.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
