Our client is a leading provider in the event technology sector, operating globally as a 360° service provider for all types of events, from public and corporate events to international tours, as well as IT and communication technology projects.To strengthen their team in Aesch, they are looking for an IT & Network Technician (m/f/d), to start immediately or by arrangement.Your Responsibilities:
Maintain IT equipment and coordinate repairs and RMAs, including both hardware and fiber/copper cabling
Service rental computers before and after productions (apply and maintain standard images, reset network devices to default settings, track software/firmware updates, etc.)
Prepare and manage IT implementations for production teams
Configure switches, routers, WiFi access points, and servers
Oversee the shipping and logistics of IT equipment for productions
Document network topologies
Provide remote support to non-IT staff on-site
Your Profile:
Completed education in IT or a related field is an advantage
Solid understanding of Layer 2 networks; knowledge of Layer 3 and beyond is a plus
Good understanding of Spanning Tree Protocols and IGMP Snooping
Knowledge of server hardware and virtualization (VMware ESXi)
Level 2 support experience with Windows OS; Linux experience is an advantage
Practical experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Fortigate appliances, and MikroTik routers desirable
Certifications such as CCNA, MTCNA, or FCNA are a plus but not required
Interested in traveling worldwide on a regular basis
