The Multi Asset boutique with approx. CHF30B in both private and institutional client AuM is seeking a highly qualified Quantitative Investment Manager (junior to mid-career) to join our Asset Allocation Team as soon as possible. The team is responsible for SAA modelling, model portfolios and optimization. This role combines asset allocation with practical portfolio management, requiring both theoretical expertise and hands-on implementation capabilities.You will be a backbone of our daily operations, supporting model portfolio creation, managing performance and risk attribution files, and ensuring robust solutions for both private and institutional client mandates while effectively translating views into strategic and tactical asset allocations.As a key member of our team, you will help design and implement scalable frameworks and allocation strategies that support the management of portfolios across a diverse, global client base. Your work will enable efficient, robust, and customized solutions for both private and institutional mandates.What would your role be:
  • Support the team’s mission to deliver innovative and effective asset allocation solutions for both private and institutional clients, ensuring our team remains at the forefront of industry best practices.
  • Assist in the groundwork and implementation of portfolio optimization tools in Python and R (Python and R expertise are non-negotiable, and you must be able to think architecturally), including our proprietary iPortfolio platform.
  • Support day-to-day management of multi-asset model portfolios, focusing on data integrity, performance analysis, and risk attribution
  • Maintain and update positioning, attribution, and contribution files to ensure accurate portfolio monitoring
  • Carry out backtestings, performance analyses, and preparation of investment proposals for individual mandates and funds
  • Support fund management activities and collaborate with other internal teams on investment solutions
  • Assist in the selection and analysis of financial instruments across asset classes
  • Work closely with senior team members to deliver operational excellence and support our strategies
  • Assist team head with analytical requests, reporting, and operational tasks
  • Regularly present portfolio results and insights to internal audiences, showcasing your analytical expertise and communication skills
  • Take ownership of updating and enhancing PowerPoint presentations weekly, ensuring performance and strategies are clearly and effectively communicated
What are we looking for:
  • University degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • 1-5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, portfolio management, or related roles
  • Python and R skills at an architectural/advanced level are required; further programming languages are an advantage
  • Solid understanding of asset allocation, performance attribution, and risk analysis
  • Experience with Avaloq, Bloomberg and Charles River Investment Management software a big plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to flawless, high-quality work
  • Ability to work hard, manage multiple tasks, and deliver results under pressure
  • Eager to learn, grow, and support a high-performing team
  • Fluency in English required; German and other languages an advantage
