Read on, this job might be for you!Software Systems Engineer SD-WAN (80-100%)Your MissionAs a Software Systems Engineer SD-WAN, you will work on improving our SD-WAN portfolio which is the foundation of Open Systems' global network operations. You will be involved in projects from their concept phase all the way through to deployment and operations. Working as part of a highly-skilled engineering team you will build services that improve the performance, availability, and security of our customers' networks without the need for human intervention in the following areas:
  • WAN Encryption and Routing
  • Application-based Multi-ISP Routing
  • WAN Traffic Optimization
Your QualificationsFor this position, we are looking for candidates who are passionate about networks, automation, and complex problem-solving.
  • Higher education (ETH, university, FH) with a degree in Computer Science or a related field and relevant professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with IP networking and routing, ideally with OSPF and BGP
  • Knowledge of Linux systems and networking
  • Experience with the Linux Netfilter stack
  • Experience in software development with concurrent compiled languages (preferably Go) and scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python)
  • Interest in system- and network-level programming, automation, and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in English

  • Knowledge of network security concepts and practices
  • Knowledge of software and system testing practices (CI/CD)
  • Familiarity with agile development cycles
