Design & fabricate advanced ultrasound transducers: large-aperture, flexible, low-voltage devices optimized for high acoustic performance.
Develop and microfabricate multi-element matrix arrays and integrate novel piezoelectric materials.
Translate microfabrication advances into surgical robotic applications - embedding flexible ultrasound sensors for intraoperative imaging, navigation, and feedback.
Collaborate closely with clinicians, roboticists, and materials scientists to ensure designs meet translational and surgical requirements.
Your profile
MSc or PhD (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on expertise in microfabrication (lithography, deposition, etching, wafer bonding, etc.) and MEMS technologies.
(Bonus) Experience in microfluidic chip design
Interest or experience in medical robotics, surgical guidance, or intraoperative imaging systems.
A strong builder's mindset: creative, hands-on, and ready to solve high-complexity/high-reward challenges.
