The Life Science Career NetworkCTC are specialised industry experts who can help companies source the best talent and provide reliable HR and consulting services, support varied candidates in finding promising career opportunities and offer the latest in skill development training programmes.Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a:Bioprocess Engineer, Microbial USPon a 12 months-contract with high chances of extension afterwards, based in the Valais area, Switzerland.In this role, you will support cutting-edge biologics manufacturing in a GMP-regulated environment.Main Responsibilities:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize upstream bioprocesses to meet yield, quality, and efficiency targets.
Lead or support implementation of new processes and process changes.
Investigate deviations, perform root cause analyses, and implement CAPAs.
Participate in full manufacturing campaigns to support execution and gather improvement insights.
Ensure accurate and timely GMP documentation (SOPs, batch records, deviation reports).
Provide on-call technical support and collaborate across production and quality teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
1-3+ years of experience in bioprocessing or GMP manufacturing.
Strong understanding of biologics manufacturing principles and GMP requirements.
Basic knowledge of DeltaV, Syncade, or other electronic batch execution systems (preferred).
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Fluent English required; German preferred.
