Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Publishing Production Officer with a background in scholarly publishing to work on the Open Research Europe (ORE) platform, soon to be hosted at CERN.As part of a growing team, you will support the Production Manager in the management of the entire article production workflow, from pre-publication checks through final publication.Your responsibilities
  • Contribute to the coordination of the full production workflow from pre-publication to final version.
  • Collaborate with Production Manager and Editorial Coordinator to ensure smooth editorial-to-production transition.
  • Communicate with external providers.
  • Contribute to the management of the article schedules, manuscript tracking (OJS), and author communications.
  • Maintain documentation, identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.
Your profile
  • Maximum of 2 years experience in scholarly publishing or scholarly communication in general, with a focus on production, operational workflows, or editorial operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, including workflow configuration and management, is an advantage.
  • Experience with Publish-Review-Curate models is an advantage.

. * By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Publishing or related field (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
  • Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
