
Engineering Manager (w/m/d)

Accountable to establish, plan, manage the investments of the site in collaboration with internal and external customers in line with the Vernier site masterplan.Function management :
- Propose the short/long term investment plans for the Vernier site (masterplan); centralize and manage the credit requests; coordinate the credit committee; organize projects whose credits are approved ;
- Get the overall view of the projects on site and ensure the technical harmonization of all of them ;
- Accountable to deliver the projects within the delay, the budget,the scope and with appropriate (and standard compliant) technical solution ;
- Ensure Project management process and guideline are applied by the project team and governance is in place and effective ;
- Manage SAP/PS, PPM, Chili/SRM modules for any Engineering relevant activities; acts as an interface with controlling ;
- Define, ensure the follow up and the communication of the main KPI's of the service ;
- Ensure identification, update or creation and roll out of technical standards through Vernier organization ;
- Ensure automation and OT activities for maintenance and project ;
- Work closely with the other E&M services to optimize the project implementation with all resources ;
- Work closely with E&M CoE functions to ensure proper analysis, planning and implementation of global strategies, plans or best practices.
- Lead a diverse team of project managers, PMO, Automation and Operational Technologies manager ;
- Manage a team of 20 to 25 people (8 direct reports) internal and external employees ;
- Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes for the related cluster E&M team and validate related results ;
- Work with local Operations and regional/global E&M management teams and HR Business Partner in developing a local talent pipeline for the function ;
- Drive the development and promotion of talents within and outside the function ;
- Evaluate external resources needs when necessary and manage external resources.
- You have successfully completed a university degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, complemented by a Project management certification ;
- You have 10 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations, including exposure to factory engineering and maintenance strategy and operational maintenance of production equipment. You have work experience in complex industrialization and engineering projects including building, process installation and utilities, from design stage to hand-over ;
- You have minimum 5 years of people management experience ;
- Good knowledge of TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools ;
- Good knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g. SAP) ; EHS rules and guidelines ;
- Proficiency in English and in French ;
- You demonstrate a proactive attitude toward change and continuously seek ways to improve processes, in line with our site's culture of continuous improvement ;
- Your decisions are based on facts and thoughtful analysis, even in high-pressure situations, and you consistently strive for solutions that are both innovative and replicable ;
- You are customer-focused, able to manage complex projects with a strong sense of urgency, and collaborate openly and constructively with colleagues and stakeholders ;
- With strong communication and analytical skills, you work in a structured, methodical way while maintaining a pragmatic and team-oriented mindset.
