:We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and talented Senior Automation Engineer to join our growing team in Basel, Switzerland. With excellent people skills, you have a proven ability to work in partnership at all levels.With high levels of commitment, your responsibilities will include leading various stages of projects from concept to completion. To achieve this our people are key!:
  • Automation and Control system design for industrial automation equipment from concept stage.
  • Liaise with clients and the project design team to develop control system design specifications.
  • Select and manage automation contractors through the project life cycle.
  • Review and comment on system integrator and vendor design documentation.
  • Liaise with automation vendors and keep up to date with the latest automation technology trends.
  • Attend control system hardware and software FAT’s.
  • Provide on-site support during installation, commissioning and SAT’s.
:Your Profile
  • 8+ years’ in Automation Engineering in system design for industrial automation equipment ideally within Life Sciences sector such as Pharma and Biotech but Food, VetPharma, Dairy, Brewery are also highly relevant
  • Degree or technical apprenticeship in Electronics/Systems, Mechatronics, Software Architecture, Automation and/or Measurements and Controls Technology
  • Experience in automation system architecture & design, requirements & specification development (incl. vendor/SI management) for Industrial Control Systems such as PLC/DCS
  • Good understanding of panel drawings and P&ID’s
  • General knowledge of instrumentation interfaces (I/O lists, signals, loops / field device integration) is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Professional working proficiency in English and German
  • Flexibility for occasional travel
