This role is contributing to ABB Energy Industries' Business Line Power Reliability in Europe.Core Responsibilities
- Sell entire service product portfolio to expand ABB’s footprint in Europe and act as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
- Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios.
- Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and translate the needs of customer into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions.
- Penetrate into IB, promote various upgrade, retrofit, and value-add solutions to the benefit of the customers and ABB.
- Understand the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepare sales plans, review them, and propose recovery plan(s) when needed.
- Experience in service or technical sales within the power generation, electrification, automation, or industrial sectors.
- Thorough knowledge of Installed Base (IB) concepts and the ability to promote upgrades, retrofits, and value‑adding service solutions.
- Skilled in identifying, developing, and securing service sales opportunities based on customer needs and market trends.
- Solid commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, sales planning, forecasting, and recovery plans.
- Customer-focused mindset with effective communication and negotiation skills, building long‑term customer relationships and responding quickly and professionally to customer issues.
- Effective communication and presentation skills and enjoy representing the company at customer meetings, trade fairs, and industry events.
- Ability to manage assigned territory with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to fluently communicate in English and German; additional languages.
