Job Description:On behalf of our Swiss partner, we are pleased to present the following position:Junior nanny in Lücherz, Canton BernThe family, living in the beautiful lakeside village of Lücherz, are looking for a live-in nanny to start in August 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys nature, outdoor activities and working with children.The family has three children, a boy aged 10 and twins (boy and girl) aged 7. They are also expecting twin babies in June 2025. The household includes one dog. Both parents work in creative fields: Mr H is a photographer and visual artist, while Mrs S is a ceramist who works part-time from home.The family home is set directly on the lake, offering a calm and natural setting, yet is conveniently close to Biel/Bienne and Neuchâtel where the children attend school. A new studio with private entrance, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom is being built on the property for the nanny or au pair, offering independence and comfort.DutiesThe role will focus mainly on supporting the older children, particularly during school mornings and afternoons, although the nanny or au pair should also feel comfortable around babies. Duties include:Helping the children get ready for school and driving them therePicking the children up from school in the afternoons and caring for them until early eveningSupporting on Wednesday afternoons with activities for the childrenLight household tasks related to the children, such as tidying up their rooms, organising play areas, helping with laundry and keeping the kitchen in orderOccasionally assisting with basic cooking if requiredThe family has a housekeeper who comes twice a week, so cleaning is not expected beyond normal daily support.RequirementsConfident driver (mandatory)Good swimming skillsEnglish or French language skillsActive, outdoorsy and happy to join the children in sports and playComfortable with both sole and shared care (mother will be on maternity leave for six months)Comfortable around dogsWorking HoursApprox. 25 hours per weekMainly Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday hours if requiredMorning support before school and afternoon to early evening hoursPackageLive-in accommodation in a private studio with bedroom, kitchen and bathroomGross salary around CHF 3000, depending on education, experience and hours agreedNo travel or overnight care requiredThis is a warm and creative family who are looking for someone responsible, flexible and kind, with a genuine love of children and outdoor life.RequirementsHigh level of fluency in French or English.EU or Swiss passport, or has a Swiss work permit.Up to date criminal background check.Recent Paediatric First Aid certificateGood references for recent and relevant nanny workChildcare qualifications preferredAble to run after and lift small childrenThis is a Non-smoking position.
