As digital technologies continue to drive global growth, we are expanding our team and offer exciting opportunities for experienced professionals to join us in key locations such as the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and South Africa.What you do as a Lead Mechanical Engineer (MCF /Data Centres)As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you must prove yourself to some of the most demanding customers in the world and work pro-actively with our colleagues across the globe. Beyond the standard features of a building, our MCF projects require specific and advanced knowledge and skills. What our clients have in common, is the need for a proactive Mechanical Engineer. With your technical and 3D/BIM modelling skills, you know how to efficiently engineer and model design. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Manage and execute mechanical work packages across multiple projects;
  • Identify scope, design, and management objectives, ensuring project documentation quality and information flow to stakeholders;
  • Author technical specifications and reports;
  • Collaborate with the project manager in project cost and risk assessment preparations/reviews;
  • Cultivate vendor relationships to support ongoing professional development and contribute to tender specifications, as well as represent Haskoning in testing and commissioning activities.

This team provides consultancy services for data centre clients and includes professionals from various fields such as engineering, construction, and architecture. The team works on integrated designs for data centers and has completed various projects. Working with this team means joining a leading market and a dedicated and passionate team. You will be employed by NEXT Haskoning Switzerland AG, the collaboration between local Swiss firm Confirm AG and Haskoning.What you bringWe are looking for a dynamic, proactive Mechanical Engineer with entrepreneurial spirit and a results-driven mindset. The ideal candidate possesses:
  • A bachelor's and/ or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and/ or installation;
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard practices in design and construction;
  • Comprehensive understanding of clients' daily operational needs;
  • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in both English and German.
