Role Responsibilities
  • End-to-end payroll co-lead: Together with another Senior Payroll Specialist, manage the monthly payroll runs for around 800 employees at two sites, including post-processing, postings, reconciliations, and year-end activities – ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Operational excellence in HR administration: Maintain master data, process salary changes and ensure correct handling of social insurances and withholding tax across different cantons, working closely with authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Process optimisation & digitalisation: Drive the ongoing digitalisation, optimisation and further development of payroll and HR processes, using your expertise to improve efficiency and support the company’s broader HR and business goals.
Requirements
  • Strong professional foundation: Completed commercial training and specialist further training in payroll and social security administration, allowing you to apply and deepen your expertise in a demanding, high-responsibility role.
  • Technical and language strength: Several years of payroll processing experience, proficient in payroll software (e.g. SAP or equivalent) with very good Excel skills, plus excellent written and spoken German and good English (B2) – enabling you to operate confidently in a complex, multilingual environment.
  • Personal strengths that make the difference: Sound knowledge of Swiss social security and withholding tax, strong numerical aptitude, high discretion, precise and reliable working style, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently with a high level of responsibility – giving you the platform to truly excel and take ownership.
