This internship lasts for six months with the option to extend to twelve months. Candidates need to be able to start on 1 June 2024.Responsibilities
  • Help to source new hedge fund managers and monitor existing short-listed funds
  • Assist and learn how to conduct due diligence on identified managers and consistently apply and adhere to the Bank's manager search process. This includes collecting qualitative and quantitative data, conducting detailed analysis of strategies and portfolios, preparing and presenting investment research for decision making, attending and preparing research and manager meetings.
  • Accurately document and record all aspects of the due diligence process and provide high quality analyses for shortlisted managers in accordance with the Bank's standards
  • Constructing and maintaining a network of relevant contacts within the investment industry as a basis for high quality referrals and primary research, as well as on going monitoring of research information sources
  • Stay updated with latest developments in fund industry and market economy, in the area of responsible investing in particular
  • Update and create excel sheets and power point presentations
  • Write manager meeting minutes
  • Maintain the internal data base and intranet
Education and Qualifications
  • Student in economics, finance, business administration, law or similar
  • Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel)
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
  • Knowledge and interest in financial markets
  • Completed Internship in the financial industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of VBA would be appreciated
  • Fluent communication skills in English and German (written and spoken)
  • French is a plus
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and reliability
