- Identify and proactively reach out to and engage with major, strategic customers across diverse sectors (e.g., Telecom, Datacom, Sensing).
- Drive the entire sales lifecycle, from initial contact and technical discussion through negotiation and contract closing, excelling in developing and driving the business forward.
- Cultivating positive and close customer relationships
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of LIGENTEC’s solutions.
- Manage and nurture a pipeline of opportunities, consistently meeting sales targets.
- Identify, analyze, and track market trends, competitive landscapes, and new application areas relevant to our offering.
- Develop and elevate the LIGENTEC brand within the global photonics ecosystem, ensuring market recognition for our cutting-edge technology and expertise.
- Represent LIGENTEC at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build strategic relationships.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical/R&D team to translate customer needs into product and service requirements and vice versa.
- Provide actionable insights on applications, segments, and market evolution to shape LIGENTEC’s strategic direction and product roadmap.
- Identify funding opportunities and assess the fit with the company’s roadmap.
- 5+ years of technical knowledge in integrated photonics is essential to effectively communicate with highly technical customers.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or technical account management, preferably within a high-tech or B2B environment.
- Existing network in telecom/datacom, optical communications, silicon photonics, or related verticals is a strong advantage
- Good Sales Orientation: Highly results-driven, persistent, and adept at identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
- Good Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business value. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of market dynamics, commercial principles, and the ability to structure complex deals and partnerships.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a small, agile team.
