Function: Global Operations – SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning)
Work Type: Full time; global role with cross‑regional stakeholders
Travel: 15–25% (Americas and selected sites as needed)Role PurposeAs the SIOP S&OE Leader – Climate Solutions Americas, Commercial, you will lead Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) for the Americas commercial portfolio (0–90 day horizon) from the global hub. You will orchestrate factory direction and govern performance so regional teams and supply planners can focus on medium‑to‑long‑term planning. You will serve as a key member of the SIOP cadence, partnering closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, Factories, and the Regional SIOP team to: (1) align commercial signals, (2) drive NPI readiness, (3) reduce portfolio complexity, (4) govern PIPO (phase‑in/phase‑out), and (5) provide scenario‑based recommendations into S&OP. The role includes building an independent demand signal (AI/statistical forecasting) and translating constraints into executable short‑term factory plans.Key ResponsibilitiesS&OE Factory Orchestration (0–90 Day Horizon)
- Own the short‑term factory guidance (rolling 0–90 days) for Climate Solutions Americas, moving this from current supply planners to the global hub.
- Lead the S&OE drumbeat: consolidate demand/supply signals, set weekly factory priorities, balance service, cost, and inventory, and drive adherence to plan.
- Define and maintain process standards and performance governance for S&OE; ensure factory playbooks, buffer/lead‑time policies, and expediting rules are current and applied.
- Align Marketing and Sales forecasts at MCS (Monthly Consensus Signal/Sales), resolving gaps and documenting assumptions.
- Partner with Product Marketing to validate business cases for NPI (revenue, units, margin) and govern PIPO to minimize disruption and excess.
- Build and maintain an independent AI/statistical forecast (separate from Sales outlook) to improve signal quality; triangulate with market intelligence, macro indicators, POS/channel data, and install base cues.
- Implement demand sensing tactics (near‑term signal refresh, short‑lag indicators) to improve responsiveness and reduce latency.
- Identify and capture short‑ and long‑term supply constraints with factories, procurement, and the global supply chain (materials, capacity, supplier risk, logistics).
- Generate scenario analyses (demand up/down, mix shifts, constraint relief, expedite vs. backlog, cost‑to‑serve) with quantified revenue, margin, service, and inventory impacts.
- Education: Bachelor’s required (Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related); Master’s preferred (MBA, MS Supply Chain/Analytics).
- Experience: 8–12+ years progressive experience in SIOP/S&OP, S&OE, factory planning, or commercial operations—including multi‑site or regional orchestration; HVAC/refrigeration, industrial products, or complex configure‑to‑order environments preferred.
- Planning & Analytics: Proven use of statistical/ML forecasting and demand sensing; comfortable with planning suites (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9, Anaplan) and advanced Excel/BI (Power BI/Tableau).
- Operations Acumen: Deep understanding of factory scheduling, materials strategy, capacity modeling, lead‑time/buffer design, and supply risk management; Lean/6σ is a plus.
- Governance & Influence: Strong facilitator for cross‑functional cadence; experienced in scenario planning and executive‑level storytelling (revenue, unit, margin impacts).
- Communication: Excellent written/verbal communication in English; additional European languages (e.g., German or French) are an advantage.
- Global Collaboration: Ability to work across time zones (Americas) from Lucerne, with periodic travel to factories, customers, and regional hubs.
- Strategic & systems thinking; balances short‑term execution with mid/long‑term health
- Data‑driven decision‑making; converts analytics into clear business trade‑offs
- Bias for action; drives closure on cross‑functional actions
- Continuous improvement mindset; standardization and scalability focus
- High ownership, resilience, and adaptability in dynamic demand/supply conditions
- Very competitive base salary
