You will collaborate closely with two additional peers, as well as maintain strong cooperation with our Technical Business Units. - Transfer your innovative ideas into new products to further strengthen the success of VAT
- As IP Manager, you are responsible for implementation of VAT's global IP strategy in line with our business and innovation strategy.
- In your daily work, you collaborate closely with our innovation teams, help defining relevant inventions, prepare and file individual patents with our patent attorneys.
- In addition, you evaluate existing IP literature for new technologies and support to define the patent strategy for new, adjacent product developments in close collaboration with the R&D and market teams.
- You will develop new and more effective methods to search, review and analyze relevant patents.
- To fulfill your tasks, you will organize workshops and connect our patent attorneys with internal people.

- Degree in science or engineering (mechanical, software, electrical engineering) or a related discipline.
- High interest in patents and IP law.
- Ability to understand the individual protection strategies of existing IP and scoping of new ideas into new, strong patents to protect our future business.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Motivated to work in a fast growing, dynamic and international environment in the heart of project teams.
- English speaker, any other language is advantageous
