TasksWe are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Economics & Commercial Airport Agreements team at SWISS International Air Lines Ltd.This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in airline economics, commercial negotiations, and airport operations within a dynamic and global aviation environment.As part of the Economics & Commercial Airport Agreements Ground/Airport Operations Team you will actively support several team functions in both Commercial and Economics matters:
  • Analyse existing handling contracts (IATA SGHA's) and prepare comprehensive overviews to support decision-making processes
  • Assist the Lufthansa Group Commercial team in Zurich during tenders & negotiations with service partners, primarily focusing on airports and ground handlers
  • Support the SWISS Home Market Switzerland Economics team in daily business operations including cost control, project management, and budget processes

  • Workload Specification: For this position, a 100 % workload is preferred
  • HF diploma, Bachelor's, Master's students or graduates (HF diploma & Bachelor's students must have completed at least three semesters), with focus in Business Administration, Aviation or similar
  • Engaged and self-driven Team player
  • Independent and responsible way of working
  • Eager to try and learn new things, pragmatic attitude
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking as well as business sense
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eagerness to work with diverse stakeholders, innovative and good people skills
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate analytical findings into commercial benefits
  • Very good spoken and written German and English skills. Every other language is a plus
  • Strong interest in the aviation industry and ground/airport operations
  • Tableau know-how is an asset
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
  • MS Office skills (O-365 preferred)
