Our comprehensive array of customized local benefits at Basel Stücki is available at: https://bit.ly/3HZNGv2Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if neededWhat you’ll do:As an MRP Planner & Operations Buyer, you will have the responsibility for the following tasks to assist our Drug Product business:Liaise with Department Planners to ensure all material plans are up to date and responsive to changes in material requirementsBuild and sustain material numbers and detailed material planning parameters in SAP, encompassing PIR, SL, lead-times, and other MRP relevant configurationsConvert the material requirements plan (purchase requisitions) into Purchase OrdersExpedite material availability by liaising with Vendors, Procurement, and inbound processing teamsComplete important material availability, mobilization, or write-off tasks to manage inventory optimally and reduce scrap/wastePartner with interested parties to establish safety stock and inventory plans that support production requirementsTrack, report, and facilitate timely material availability, including testing and release for productionBuild and supervise material-related important metrics to ensure an accurate understanding of material availabilityMonitor and optimize inventory to minimize obsolescence and perform slow-moving and value adjustment routines in collaboration with operations and financeDevelop and uphold material projections and communicate them with suppliers.Lead supply chain-related improvement projects, such as the SAP Blueprint ExecutionSupport internal cross-functional collaborators to onboard and approve new raw materials and suppliersWhat we’re looking for:BSc./MSc. degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or any applicable subject area5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Planning/Scheduling, and/or procurementSkills in purchasing, inventory, analytical, and distribution managementExperience in a GMP environment is preferred but not essentialProficiency in using SAP MRP (modules MM and PP) and MS Office programs, particularly ExcelExcellent communication and presentation skillsA valuable teammate with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teamsProficiency in English and German, both written and spokenAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
