Bio-Techne, and all of its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide.Senior Accountant – Temporary position – Maternity cover 9-10 months 100%Start date : ASAPYour MissionsReporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be working in close collaboration with a team of 3-4 accountants, on the following missions:Monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for group reporting in USGAAPPrepare and finalize annual statutory financial statements in compliance with Swiss COLead limited statutory examination coordination and deliverablesSupport group audit with documentation and liaison activitiesEnsure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets) with the rest of the teamRoutine ledger reconciliationsCoordinate with the group’s Corporate Finance department for consolidated reporting requirementsReconcile intercompany accounts and manage intergroup transactions in accordance with transfer pricing policiesPrepare and submit all statutory Swiss tax returns (VAT, direct federal and cantonal taxes, and related tax filings) timely and accuratelyProvide guidance and support to accounting team members and collaborate with other departments on finance-related mattersYour ideal profileMinimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Swiss subsidiary of an international groupStrong knowledge of US GAAP for group financial reporting and in-depth understanding of Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and local statutory reporting requirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, professional accounting qualification preferred (Federal Diploma of Advanced Studies in Accounting and Finance)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise across departments and with externalsHigh attention to detail, ability to maintain deadlines, curious and analytical-mindedAbility to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive informationAdvanced Excel and data analysis skills are a must, experience with Winbiz and/or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central desiredFluency in English and French is mandatoryBio-Techne is committed to product quality, customer satisfaction, continued improvement, minimising environmental impacts and conserving natural resources.
