- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Swiss an international logistics provider (airport handling companies, ground carriers, airlines and shipping lines).
- Increase proactiveness in freight executions with the different operations in accordance with the Branch Manager strategy and new businesses implementation.
- Act as the go-to escalation contact for the 3 operations manager based in Zurich and suppliers when implementation or operational challenges arise.
- Built monitoring system and KPIs to measures airlines, shipping line, trucker and customs operations with a focus on timely execution and cost control.
- Support analysis and service failures, investigate root causes, and implement preventive process improvements.
- Lead by example, with no direct report, the perfect candidate will need to have strong influential skills.
- Ensure strong and consistent communication flow between suppliers and operations.
- Support internal service reviews and planning meetings with data-driven insights and solution-oriented recommendations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational speed, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal business development teams for onboarding new clients or implementing strategic changes.
- Drive cost-optimization initiatives while upholding high service quality standards.
- Identify potential service risks and proactively develop mitigation processes.
- Monitor outstanding supplier invoices and resolution of discrepancies.
- Strong background in freight forwarding or transportation
- Worked at a similar Freight forwarding or at an international supplier is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience working with Swiss logistics infrastructure (airports, shipping ports, bonded warehouses).
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and escalation management in operations
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with an urgency-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English and German is a must.
