The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.About the jobBased at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Housekeeping Department in Zurich, the Laundry/ Public Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas and for maintaining the laundry. The Laundry/ Public Area Attendant reports to the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager.YOUR TASKSAs Laundry/ Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:Maintain cleanliness in storage rooms, back-of-house, and public areasSort, clean, iron, and package guest and hotel laundry to the highest standardReceive, check, and distribute guest laundry and staff uniforms with accuracy and careManage and issue staff uniforms; perform regular inventory checksOperate all laundry equipment safely and in accordance with local regulationsPerform minor sewing and embroidery tasks as neededEnsure machinery is well maintained and laundry areas are clean and orderlySupport onboarding and training of new team members and apprenticesCollect guest preferences and respond to requests professionallyReport maintenance issues and forward lost & found items to housekeepingCollaborate with other housekeeping sections during peak periodsCarry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors or managementYOUR BENEFITSOur commitment to you:Learning & Development.
