Locations: Fribourg, Bern, Olten, or Lausanne.About the CompanyMy client is a leading, multidisciplinary engineering company with over 40 years of experience in the planning and implementation of infrastructure facilities across the energy, environment and transport sectors in Switzerland.Your RoleOur client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with a specialisation in transport infrastructure to join their dynamic team. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to diverse projects related to traffic engineering, road construction, railway infrastructure, and tunnel equipment.Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and managing complex transport infrastructure projects from conceptual design through to implementation.
  • Developing innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for roads, railways, bridges, and tunnels.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, preparing detailed designs, and performing technical calculations.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, clients, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Overseeing project execution, quality assurance, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Applying your expertise in areas such as traffic flow analysis, road geometry, structural design of transport elements, and tunnel safety systems.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
Your ProfileTo succeed in this role, you will possess:
  • A university degree (MSc or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
  • Proven professional experience in the planning and implementation of transport infrastructure projects (roads, railways, tunnels).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Swiss norms, regulations, and standards in transport engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in engineering software relevant to transport infrastructure design (e.g., CAD, BIM, traffic modelling tools).
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in French and/or German (mandatory requirement).
