As the Director Compound Operation Lead, you will play a pivotal global role overseeing clinical program operations from First-in-Human through to launch. You will be the operational cornerstone on the Global Program Team, ensuring seamless translation of asset strategy into actionable clinical programs that prioritize patient needs. Collaboration with Clinical Trial Leads and cross-functional R&D teams will be critical as you drive trial delivery with strict adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards meeting industry benchmarks. Your leadership will accelerate patient access to new medicines by reducing program cycle times through operational excellence.You will uphold stringent GCP and ICH compliance, maintain governance readiness, and enhance cost efficiency across programs. Influencing senior management and cross-functional partners to align on priorities, you will expertly manage risks and resource trade-offs for optimal program outcomes. Supporting talent development in your teams, you will foster a culture of high performance and continuous learning. You will be accountable for reporting operational progress at key governance forums, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment. Your impact will be felt globally through your leadership of multi-trial clinical programs, where science and patient outcomes are at the heart of decision-making.Who You Are:
- You hold an advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field (PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred).
- You bring 10+ years of progressive experience in clinical drug development within pharmaceutical or biotech settings.
- You have a proven track record leading complex, global clinical programs across multiple phases and therapeutic areas.
- You are experienced in representing clinical operations at senior governance forums with confidence and professionalism.
- You possess deep knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and global regulatory compliance standards.
- You demonstrate strong financial acumen and have managed sizable program-level budgets.
- You are proficient with clinical operations tools, systems, and performance metrics frameworks.
- You are a persuasive communicator and influencer who thrives in dynamic, matrixed environments with diverse stakeholders.
