Responsibility includes Internal & External Manufacturing network across all regions.The Senior Director, Synthetics Manufacturing Drug Product Leader:
Sets the strategy, priorities, goals and objectives, managing MSAT operations between and at the sites, achieving the goals of the manufacturing organization in line with SM Global Manufacturing Platform objectives.
Partners with the Advanced Manufacturing Lead to ensure deployment of innovation and implementation of new technology
Drives process standardization and best practice sharing, across platform and internal and external sites.
Leads diverse site and global technical teams and drives talent development, to encompass product technical ownership and support for the SM DP Platform.
Creates an organization of highly skilled technical expertise and profound scientific and manufacturing knowhow.
Reports to the VP MSAT, is a member of the MSAT Leadership Team and the SM Manufacturing Platform Leadership Team; partners with R&D, Value Chain Mgmt., Quality, External Supply and Regulatory to align on strategy and maximize business outcome.
You will be responsible for:
Defines and directs MSAT SM DP platform organization– defines strategies, methods, and processes to assure technical and manufacturing integration from early development to launch & growth, value optimization and late stage
Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including Site GM’s, R&D leadership, External Supply, Value Chain Management and Quality
Partners with PC&D R&D to influence the selection of new devices constituents and primary packaging materials
Contributes to business planning strategies in partnership with SM Global Manufacturing Platform Lead and translates business goals into SM DP MSAT Platform objectives. Approves and monitors the Platform budget, investigates and takes steps to resolve significant variances
Influence technology innovation and deploys standards and its applications through assets and products
Coaches, mentors and provides developmental opportunities to staff, evaluates performance and initiates corrective actions when necessary
Accountable for Initiatives and projects related to network reconfiguration, major cost improvement programs, implementation of new capabilities and capacity
Qualifications / Requirements:
A master’s degree is required, engineering, science or related degree.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment is required.
Strong expertise in synthetics manufacturing drug product manufacturing processes, validation, equipment, and regulations with focus on Synthetics Manufacturing Drug Product technology is required.
Proven understanding of Quality & Compliance/Regulatory Requirements/Safety (GMP/EH&S) especially for Synthetics Manufacturing Drug Product Technology is required.
Proven working knowledge in Supply Chain functions and financials is required.
Strong leadership skills, communication and presentation skills and analytical, quantitative skills are required.
Fluent (written and spoken) is required.
Local language (written and spoken) is preferred.
Position requires availability to travel to domestic and international destinations, up to 25% of the time.
