The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Unix and Linux environments, coupled with a deep understanding of database management and proficiency in SQL. In addition to Appian expertise, this role will require substantial experience in DevOps practices, particularly in facilitating seamless upgrades of Appian versions.Key Responsibilities:Appian Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Appian solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.Version Upgrades: Spearhead the planning and execution of Appian version upgrades, collaborating closely with stakeholders to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition. This includes assessing compatibility, performing risk analysis, and implementing necessary adjustments.DevOps Integration: Drive the adoption of DevOps practices within the Appian development process, leveraging automation tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline deployments and improve overall efficiency.Unix and Linux Expertise: Utilize extensive experience with Unix and Linux environments to optimize Appian deployments, troubleshoot system issues, and implement best practices for security and performance.Database Management: Manage database configurations, performance tuning, and optimization strategies to support Appian applications. Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.Collaboration and Leadership: Act as a technical leader within the team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to junior engineers. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the Appian ecosystem, DevOps, and related fields.
