- A minimum of 50% of the graduate assistant's time will be dedicated to the completion of a doctoral dissertation.
- A maximum of 50% of the graduate assistant's time will be dedicated to providing teaching, administrative and research support for the supervisor.
- Academic degree: You have a Master's degree, or are expected to complete it until the start of the position, in line with the research focus of the PhD, that is, in one of the following fields:
- Management, Marketing, Economics, Social Psychology
- Business Analytics, ideally including Machine Learning or Data Science focus
- Interest in academic work: You have a strong interest in academic research as well as a strong motivation and dedication to start a PhD dissertation in marketing.
- Quantitative skills and statistical knowledge: You have statistical skills, fundamental knowledge regarding empirical research methods, and feel comfortable in handling quantitative data. This can be experience in experimental / survey-based research methods, or experience with unstructured data analysis / machine learning methods (using programs like R, Python, Stata, SPSS).
- Soft skills: You have very good presentation and analytical skills, high self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, and a can-do attitude.
- Language skills: You have an excellent English proficiency (French skills are an advantage but no necessity).
- Ph.D. program: You are eligible to enter the PhD program of HEC Lausanne (please check requirements here:
