The Data Platforms team is part of the Cloud-Oriented Platforms Services unit. We are responsible for maintaining major enterprise database and messaging platforms. In this team, you will have the opportunity to operate and build our core data services for data at rest, in transit and in the cloud.Your role
  • Researching, designing, building and operating reliable Dev & DevOps-oriented platforms in the cloud (based on AWS, Azure and GitHub, etc.) and on premises.
  • Aligning with developers, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity and risk managers to apply standards and to provide guidance.
  • Helping to promote DevOps good practices for our platforms.
  • Performing tasks expected of an infrastructure engineer: DevOps, scripting, infrastructure as code (using Terraform, Puppet and Ansible, CI/CD, etc.). The languages used will include Go, Python and Java as well as Bash and PowerShell.
Your profile
  • First experience as a DevOps engineer or in equivalent software-engineering role.
  • Significant knowledge about architecture topics such as integration, security, network, identity and access management.
  • Proficiency in software craftsmanship and programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Go, Bash or equivalent.
  • Experience of code tooling (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of database or messaging systems such as IBM MQ, Kafka, Oracle, MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL would be a plus.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deeply curious and eager to learn about technologies and skills.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
