Please only apply for an internship if you fulfil the following two criteria:(1) You have no close relative serving in the ILO.(2) This is your first internship with the ILO (only one internship is permitted).DepartmentThe position is located in the Resources and Services Branch of the International Social Security Association (ISSA). The Resources and Services Branch (RES) is responsible for the Administration of the ISSA. Under the supervision of the Head of the Resources and Services Branch, the intern will be asked to work in task-oriented teams to contribute to ISSA activities within the area of competence.Learning areaAs an intern in Administration, the person will be involved to a whole range of areas related to finance and administration. The intern will also be involved in creating and supporting new projects aimed at improving the operations through advanced automation and collaboration systems. The intern will be offered the possibility to gain experience in working with finance and IT specialists who are involved in the administration of the Association.
- Assist the Finance team with daily accounting operations, including but not limited to preparing journal entries, managing accounts payable, and conducting account reconciliations.
- Aid with financial and budgetary reporting.
- Assist in filing various financial documents (electronic and paper)
- Assist with the development and implementation of efficient and scalable finance processes to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Support the integration and optimization of online collaboration tools and business process automation solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies. Assist in developing applications using PowerApps to replace manual and paper-based processes with cloud-based functions, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
