In addition, Novelis is leading the industry with its sustainability and recycling efforts.Become part of our mission to create a sustainable world and start in our European Headquarter in Küsnacht, Switzerland or at one of our locations in Germany: Göttingen, Koblenz, Nachterstedt, Ohle or Stuttgart as:(Senior) Analyst Market Risk Europe (m/f/d) Responsibilities & Qualifications:What awaits you:The (Senior) Analyst Market Risk is part of the market risk management team, whose primary responsibility is to manage Novelis Europe exposure to aluminium price and foreign exchange. The role brings significant and valuable contribution to improving hedging strategies efficiency based on the ability to manipulate and analyse a vast and complex set of data. The tasks in detail:
  • You will be trained with Novelis exposure to metal price and foreign exchange, and the hedging strategies employed to minimize their impacts on Novelis financial results
  • You will be familiarized with the Global Risk Management SQL databases containing Novelis detailed exposure and hedging data, and the various systems feeding them (SAP, DWH, Datalake, etc.)
  • You will analyse effectiveness of Metal Price Lag and FX Balance Sheet Remeasurement hedging strategies, to identify underlying causes of variances
  • You will develop and implement tools to automate and refine those analyses
  • You will propose and implement processes, systems and hedging strategies improvements
  • You will participate in Global Risk Management initiatives, including implementing tools used by all Regions
  • You will help the Senior Manager Market Risk in preparing and presenting the Europe Risk Reviews
  • You will place hedging orders when needed to ensure continuity of coverage
How you convince us:
  • You hold a university degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field of business
  • You have a very strong knowledge of SQL and a strong affinity to manipulate vast amount of data
  • You have a dedication for continuous improvement, and deep curiosity to understand and learn new processes and technical knowledge
  • You have a good knowledge of Excel, VisualBasic, PowerBI, PowerQuery, Hyperion, OneStream and SAP
  • Previous knowledge of finance, accounting, risk management and hedging is a plus
  • You are fluent in English, with German and French as an advantage
