Let’s shape the future of wealth management together.We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution in Zurich, Switzerland.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Java development, with expertise in Spring / Spring Boot.You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our financial platforms and applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.YOUR CHALLENGEDesign and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for our financial products and servicesBackend Development: Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. Optimize server-side performance and ensure data integrity and securitySystem Integration: Integrate various financial systems and third-party services, ensuring smooth data flow and interoperabilityCode Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CDTroubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the stack, providing support for both development and production environmentsCollaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverablesYOUR PROFILESolid hands-on experience in Java development with a strong grasp of Core Java, including collections, JSON processing, JDBC, and build tools like MavenDemonstrated proficiency with the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot, JPA, JDBC templates, and messaging components such as JMSFamiliarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments, including Microsoft Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with foundational knowledge of microservices architectureBasic competence in Unix/Linux systems and bash scripting for automation and operational tasksCommitment to high-quality code, evidenced by rigorous code review practices and attention to development standardsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies, supporting agile and continuous delivery practicesKnowledge of API security mechanisms, including OAuth2 and related identity and access management standardsAbility to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and make sound technical and operational decisionsProven collaboration skills, with comfort working in a global, cross-site team environment (e.g., Zurich and Singapore)Problem-solving mindset, strong teamwork orientation, and experience thriving in agile project settings; financial sector exposure is advantageousFluent in English (verbal / written), additional languages are nice-to-haveWe are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
