- Manage Finance & Accounting for the legal entity in Lucerne, Switzerland, report disciplinary and functionally to Head of Group Finance.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensure proper coding of all financial transactions according to the chart of accounts and company policies.
- Be responsible for period-end closing and reporting in accordance with local GAAP rules, government regulations, internal and external compliance.
- Prepare and review assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare monthly financial report reviews with Group Finance.
- Coordinate annual statutory audits and other external tax and government audits with auditors. Ensure tax compliance and Transfer price documentation accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow, treasury, tax, and all accounting areas at entity level.
- Prepare entity business plan, quarterly forecast, variance analysis per Group request. Identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
- Be responsible for budget control.
- Implement local financial processes in line with central guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance controls, and improve efficiency.
- Provide support and guidance to business partners on accounting matters.
- Ensure smooth cooperation with German Branch for financial reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities as required.
- Identify financial risk and develop mitigation strategies.
- Be responsible for the training and development of the local finance team members.
- Other finance tasks assigned by Head of Group Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a financial role, preferably within a Swiss corporate environment or multinational corporation with Swiss operations.
- 3+ years’ experience of team leadership in finance /commercial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss GAAP (FER and/or OR) and Swiss tax regulations (VAT, WHT).
- Familiar with a major ERP system (SAP FI/CO,) is mandatory.
- Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required for group reporting and international collaboration.
